Telegram Bot Setup Guide

TryScript can automatically send generated videos to your Telegram for quick review. You can pick, upload, or schedule videos directly from your phone.

Option A: Personal Chat (Receive videos privately)

  1. Open the Telegram app and search for @userinfobot (or click here).
  2. Send any message to the bot (e.g., /start or "hello").
  3. The bot will reply with your personal Id (a string of numbers like 123456789).
  4. Search for the bot @tryscript_approve_bot.
  5. Crucial Step: Send /start to the bot to open the connection. Telegram prevents bots from sending you messages unless you message them first!
  6. Copy the Id you got from @userinfobot and paste it into the Telegram Chat ID field in your TryScript Channel Settings.

Option B: Telegram Group or Channel (Public or Private)

  1. Add the bot @tryscript_approve_bot to your Telegram Group or Channel as a member. (Yes, this works perfectly for Private Channels too!)
  2. Go to the Group/Channel settings and promote the bot to Administrator. Ensure it has the "Post Messages" permission.
  3. To find the Group/Channel ID, forward any message from that Group/Channel to @userinfobot (or use tools like Telegram Web to inspect the URL).
    Note: Group and Channel IDs usually start with a minus sign (e.g., -100123456789).
  4. Copy that ID (including the minus sign) and paste it into the Telegram Chat ID field in your TryScript Channel Settings.

Troubleshooting: "Chat not found"

If you get a "Chat not found" error when clicking the Test Telegram button, it means Telegram's anti-spam system blocked the message.
Fix: You MUST send a message (like /start) to the bot from your personal account first, OR ensure the bot has Admin rights in your Group/Channel.
