Inside the CMS: Monitoring Workers and Credit Ledgers Chronologically

How platform administrators monitor background worker PIDs, audit chronological credit ledger transactions, and maintain environment health.

The Importance of Admin Visibility in Video SaaS

Operating a video-on-demand and AI generation platform requires constant monitoring. Between handling external API rate limits, managing GPU render times, and executing direct database operations, administrators need high-visibility monitoring tools.

If a worker process goes offline or a credit ledger gets out of sync, admins must be able to diagnose and resolve the issue immediately to maintain system health.

Granular Worker Tracking inside TryScript’s CMS

TryScript’s administrative CMS provides deep, real-time visibility into the platform's backend operations:

  • Granular Process Tracking: The Workers menu displays the exact status and OS Process ID (PID) of every active worker instance. It tracks distinct PIDs for the publish worker, task worker, and topic worker.
  • Operational States: The CMS clearly distinguishes between "Running" (processing a task), "Sleeping" (waiting for the next loop iteration, including displaying the remaining sleep time), and "Stopped" (process offline).
  • Direct Process Control: Each worker has its own dedicated Start/Stop icon button, letting admins control individual processes without affecting the rest of the application.

Chronological Accuracy in Credit Auditing

Financial integrity is paramount in SaaS platforms. TryScript prevents chronological discrepancies by sorting the CreditLedger database table strictly by created_at DESC, id DESC.

Ordering transactions by both timestamp and auto-increment ID guarantees a reliable audit trail, even when multiple automated child tasks are processed during the exact same second—protecting both the platform's economics and the users' budgets.
