How to Use the Text-to-Video Generation Tool on TryScript

A step-by-step guide on creating high-quality AI videos using TryScript's Video and Audio Mode selections, Manual vs Auto modes, and aspect ratio controls.

Introduction to Text-to-Video

The Text-to-Video tool on tryscript.app allows you to transform any script or creative idea into a fully-rendered video complete with voiceover and matched visual clips or images. It splits your creation process into two customizable pipelines: Video Mode and Audio Mode.

Step 1: Accessing the Tool

Log in to your TryScript account and navigate to the Dashboard. From the sidebar menu, select Tools -> Text to Video (or visit /dashboard/tools/text-to-video).

Step 2: Choose Your Modes and Quality Settings

Unlike older systems, TryScript allows you to configure your generation using two distinct settings:

  1. Video Mode: Select the model for visual generation (e.g. Story Telling or Cinematic).
    • Story Telling: Generates high-fidelity static scenes aligned with script segments.
    • Cinematic: Uses advanced video models like wan-video/wan-2.2-5b-fast on Replicate to generate 5-second dynamic clips. Note: Cinematic mode is capped at a maximum of 7 segments/paragraphs to guarantee perfect pacing.
  2. Audio Mode: Select your preferred Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine (e.g. StyleTTS2, ElevenLabs, or Pocket TTS).

Your total credit cost will be dynamically calculated as the sum of the credit costs of the selected Video and Audio models.

Step 3: Choose Between Auto and Manual Mode

Select your generation control style using the explicit radio buttons:

  • Auto Mode (Default): The AI automatically writes the script, expands visual prompts, and immediately renders the full video.
  • Manual Mode: The AI generates the script first, allowing you to edit the text, customize the visual prompts, choose the voice per segment, and approve each scene individually before starting the video render.

Step 4: Configure Format and Metadata

Set your aspect ratio (e.g., 16:9 for widescreen or 9:16 for Shorts/TikTok) and language. Choose whether the task should be Public (visible in the community gallery) or Private.

Once ready, click Create Task to submit your video generation request to our high-priority queue. You can monitor the progress (from "script generated" to "rendering video") in real-time on your dashboard.
