Smart Budgeting: TryScript’s Credit Deductions Explained

Understand how TryScript manages credits for automatic daily topic runs, child tasks, and premium quality mode combinations.

Managing Costs in Automated SaaS Pipelines

Operating a video automation platform involves managing various API fees (LLMs, TTS models, and GPU rendering clouds). For creators, this means you need clear, predictable, and transparent billing. A successful automation strategy requires you to budget your credits precisely so you can estimate your operating costs before launching a campaign.

TryScript implements a transparent credit ledger system where every single charge is documented chronologically and mapped to a specific task ID.

Breaking Down TryScript's Credit Tiers

To keep the platform robust and flexible, TryScript resolves all model costs dynamically from the Model Registry database. All options in the Text-to-Video tool require credits (there are no 0-credit video/image options).

Here is a breakdown of the typical credit requirements depending on your selected Quality Mode:

Visual / Video Quality Tiers

  • SDXL (Pixazo Image): 1 Credit (Public or Private) — standard high-speed static image generation.
  • Storytelling (Flux / Google Imagen 3): Typically 10 Credits (Public) / 20 Credits (Private) (with hardcoded fallback config of 1 Public / 3 Private Credits) — high-detail creative images.
  • Cinematic (Wan 2.2 / Google Veo 3.1): Typically 40-50 Credits (Public) / 70-80 Credits (Private) (with fallback config of 3 Public / 5 Private Credits) — generates true, dynamic video clips (strictly capped at 7 segments, charged at a flat rate rather than per clip).

Audio / TTS Quality Tiers

  • Local Voices (Pocket TTS, Kokoro, StyleTTS2): 1 Credit (Public) / 3 Credits (Private) — highly optimized local text-to-speech engines. (Note: These local models can be run for 0 credits within the standalone Text-to-Speech tool's Free Queue).
  • Premium Voices (ElevenLabs / Replicate Flash): Typically 5 Credits (Public) / 15 Credits (Private) (with fallback config of 0 Public / 1 Private Credits) — premium realistic human voiceovers.

Note: Cinematic video quality is charged at a flat-rate cost per task, not multiplied by the number of scenes, making video production highly cost-effective.

The Auto-Daily Channel Cost Formula

When you activate daily automation on a channel, the platform calculates your estimated daily credit cost using a standardized formula:

Daily Credit Cost = (Topics Per Day) * ((Videos Per Topic * (Video Quality Cost + Audio Quality Cost)) + 2)

The base cost of 2 credits covers the initial keyword processing, SearXNG search indexing, and script formatting. The channel detail page features a tooltip component that displays this math, letting you budget your credits with complete transparency.
